I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, taking on the NaNoWriMo challenge and writing 50,000 words in 30 days is no easy feat! It takes hard work and discipline to get it done. But in the end, it’s so worth it! (When you can get there, that is!).
This week, I wanted to share some of my favorite motivational quotes for you to read and reference when you need a little boost of inspiration to get you going!
JK Rowling
I can’t share motivational quotes about writing without including a few JK Rowling quotes. She is one of the authors I am most inspired by. Not only am I inspired in her work as an author, but I am inspired by her journey to become one and the work she has done since acquire wealth and status.

“Sometimes the ideas just come to me. Other times I have to sweat and almost bleed to make ideas come. It’s a mysterious process, but I hope I never find out exactly how it works. I like a mystery.” – JK Rowling
“I’ve been writing since I was six. It is a compulsion, so I can’t really say where the desire came from; I’ve always had it.” – JK Rowling
“Imagination is not only the uniquely human capacity to envision that which is not, and, therefore, the foundation of all invention and innovation. In its arguably most transformative and revelatory capacity, it is the power that enables us to empathize with humans whose experiences we have never shared.” – JK Rowling
“I would like to be remembered as someone who did the best she could with the talent she had.” – JK Rowling
Pursuing Your Dreams
I don’t know about you, but becoming an author is a life-long dream of mine. This is what I have wanted to be for as long as I can remember. Pursuing a dream like this one isn’t easy but when that day comes where I see my name on a book cover, my dream will be realized, and it will feel so good.

“All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” Walt Disney
“Love what you do and do what you love. Don’t listen to anyone else who tells you not to do it. You do what you want, what you love. Imagination should be the center of your life.” – Ray Bradbury
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
“The only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work hard for them.” – Michelle Obama
“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” – CS Lewis

Challenging Yourself
Taking on a challenge can be scary. You’re likely filled with self-doubt and fears. It’s normal to feel that way, but you don’t have to let it stand in the way of your success. The fact is: you can’t hide from challenges, otherwise you’ll never grow. So, as hard as it is sometimes, you just have to face it head-on.

“There will be obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work, there are no limits.” – Michael Phelps
“Forget about the fast lane. If you really want to fly, harness your power to your passion. Honor your calling. Everybody has one. Trust your heart, and success will come to you.” – Oprah Winfrey
“Talent is a wonderful thing, but it won’t carry a quitter.” – Stephen King
“It shouldn’t be easy to be amazing. Then everything would be. It’s the things you fight for and struggle with before earning that have the greatest worth. When something’s difficult to come by, you’ll do that much more to make sure it’s even harder – or impossible – to lose.” – Sarah Dessen
